Robert Henry Fain Jr MD, a Sports Medicine Orthopedic Knee Specialist, was raised in Houston, Texas obtaining his undergraduate degree from Texas AM University then granted entrance into Baylor College of Medicine located in the Texas Medical Center receiving his M.D. degree.

His first year post doctoral internship was focused on General Surgery with the Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospital System which includes Methodist Hospital, St Luke's Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital, The Ben Taub General Hospital, and the Michael DeBakey Veteran Administration Hospital.

He was then selected into the four year Orthopedic Residency program with the Baylor College of Medicine's Division of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Fain Jr for his sixth postdoctoral year of training was awarded a Sports Medicine fellowship focusing on the Surgery and Disorders of the Knee. His rotations through his residency and fellowship were through the major hospitals in the prestigious Texas Medical Center of Houston, Texas.

He has his office practice focused and limited only on the treatment of knees being a Sports Medicine Orthopedic Knee Specialist.

With the 10 years of medical and orthopedic education and training after college, he has the skills and knowledge, traveling to each game as the team orthopedic surgeon for the Houston NFL team for a decade he has the insight and experience, continuing the participation in continuing medical education and speaking, teaching students, residents, and fellows, he has established great accuracy on making the correct diagnosis and performing the needed successful state of the art minimally invasive surgery to restore function, performance, confidence, and longevity.
